This exemption, approved under the Post-secondary Educational Institution Act, 21-23-1 et seq. NMSA 1978, allows ACCL to provide skill- and competency-based courses applicable in work and career settings.

Important Notes:

  • Exemption does not constitute state authorization for awarding diplomas or degrees.
  • Certificates issued by ACCL document course completion and competencies, but are not state-recognized diplomas or degrees.
  • Students seeking official diplomas or college credit should enroll in an accredited third-party provider or participate in dual-credit programs with a local community college.
  • Exemption status is valid through August 31, 2029.

This recognition confirms ACCL operates legally, responsibly, and in compliance with New Mexico law, offering structured, skill-based programs for secondary and post-secondary learners.
